While he was babbling on like this, a light-radiant cloud enveloped them. As they found themselves buried in the cloud, they became deeply aware of God. Then there was a voice out of the cloud: "This is my Son, the Chosen! Listen to him."
It's very foggy in HK now, really foggy.
I cannot see the opposite side of the harbor, not even the street clearly.
That's somehow like the cloud covers the disciples.
The scripture associate itself with the Moses tradition, when Moses met god in the mountain,
the mountain was covered with cloud too.
sometime, i think, the 5 senses of us is a tool of *feeling* God, but also distracts us from God.
we look around, we heard noises, we smell funny things, our body feel uncomfortable, or tired.
All these doesn't help us to concentrate.
May be this is why the God covered the disciples with cloud, and reveling himself in the cloud.
another meaning of it is, God is beyond any visions, you cannot visualize Him.
when I consider 'see things in God, see God in things', i now add this
'God is also in absence'
When the surrounding is foggy, may be it's a sign of God, God wants you to listen to Him.
